Jill and Theresa have always had great love and passion for dogs.  Jill is a third-generation to a very successful dog breeder and horse breeder/trainer. She was lucky enough to spend countless hours training and learning from her Grandfather, and is honored to continue with his passion and interest in dogs.  After a career and taking time off to raise her family,  Jill and her daughter Theresa started their purebred dog journey together in 2005 with the purchase of their first Flat Coated Retriever, Schooner.

Along the way, they have also helped breed, whelp, train and show many amazing English Setters with their friends Bob and Francie Stevens of Fieldplay English Setters.  As a young girl, Theresa showed in Conformation and Junior Showmanship with both Flat Coated Retrievers and English Setters.

Theresa has long aged-out of Juniors, and Jill and Theresa's passion and focus is Flat-Coated Retrievers (even though English Setters will always have a special place in their hearts.) Theresa and Jill can still be seen ringside with either breed and sometimes other breeds as they continue to be positive, friendly and helpful influence ringside.

While on a 2008 trip to compete at Canadian dog shows, Jill and Theresa were taken aback by the beauty of a Flat Coat they saw in the obedience ring.

That day, they were introduced to Roman, BIS BISS MOTCH Am GCH Can GCHX Fishercreeks A Star Is Born UD WC RN JH HOF, and his breeders/owners Barry & Pauline of Fishercreek Flat Coated Retrievers. They waited for just the right puppy, and five years later, they purchased King from the Fishercreek Spice Litter in 2012.

King has become not only the dog that can do it all, but a once-in-a-lifetime dog.  Jill and Theresa enjoy working King in all venues. Over the years, they have owned and co-owned some wonderful, lovable Flat Coats, and have had up to 8 dogs living with them at one time. 

Jill and Theresa are committed to the versatility of the Flat Coated Retriever feeling that it is important that the history of the breed is celebrated, honored, and passed to future generations. Because of that, they continue to work these intelligent creatures in multiple venues.  They strive to work each dog to its potential and its interests; they can be seen working and competing in rally, obedience, field, agility, and dock diving, as well as visiting children and elderly with their therapy dogs. As breeders, they are committed to temperament and health with the goal of placing each puppy into a loving forever home.
